Gender Economic Empowerment Lead - United Nations Habitat Youth Fund

Drove business sustainability and growth by providing support 160 women-owned businesses and ensure that 100% of the businesses achieved growth

National Consultant- International Trade Centre, Geneva, Switzerland                                                                                             

Led the designing of National Export Strategy-Gender Dimension that mainstreamed women in the export sectors, promoted gender inclusive growth, facilitated entry into European Union markets and improved profitability of women-owned enterprises, creating over 300,000 jobs for youths in East Africa

Youth Development 

• Advise governments on education reform and curriculum development to integrate gender sensitive programing and mainstream entrepreneurship to address young people’s labour skills gaps

• Provide strategic and technical leadership in developing plans and support execution of large-scale projects to ensure incorporation of world-class innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth employment models.

• Guide youth entrepreneurship, self-employment, promotion of youth-led economic activities, apprentice programs and youth enterprises.

• Support mainstreaming gender into throughout project cycles from designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and learning. 

• Develop strategies and plans to improve the economic participation rate of youth within the labor force and reduce vulnerability to crime, radicalization and violent extremism

• Mobilized and convened 40 civil society organizations in Africa to collaborate and participate in 10 annual mentoring walks and 3 national dialogues with 38,700 participants that promoted youth and women leadership
